There's a saying in Maine, "You can't get there from here,"... meant for those so close but not quite easy to access points. The Keeper's House Inn may be on an island, but getting here is rather easy.
Driving & Parking
From I-95, Route 1 or Route 3 in Maine:
Take Route 15 through the Blue Hill peninsula and follow Route 15 over the Sedgwick/Deer Isle Bridge, down Deer Isle, and into Stonington. Follow 15 as it turns right and becomes Main Street. Turn left on Seabreeze Avenue. Continue down to the dock. Temporary parking is available at the dock.
Isle au Haut Boat Services provide year-round passenger, freight, and mail deliveries fro the mainland to the island. The six-mile trip lasts approximately 45 minutes.Tickets must be purchased at the dock and prior to boarding. Ticket office staff will direct you to longer-term parking options.

The Mail Boat provides service between Stonington and Isle au Haut six days a week. There is no boat service on Sundays or US government holidays. Guests staying Saturday nights also stay Sunday nights.
Arrival & Departure
All arriving guests are asked to arrive on the "late boat" for the day of their reservation. This ensures that your accommodations are ready for you. All departing guest check-out in town to depart on the midday boat back to Stonington. The Mail Boat schedule varies throughout the season, so please plan accordingly. Read more.
Luggage and Personal Belongings
Please travel light. You will carry your gear at several stages. Use caution as boat ramps can be very steep at low tides. During rough weather in the spring and fall, or at the Captain's discretion, guests may be landed at the town landing with ground transportation provided to the Inn. Read more.
