The Oil House

The Oil House is a tiny masonry bungalow with a slate roof and private deck right on the water.  Hidden up the shore a hundred yards from the inn, it was originally used to store the oil that burned in the lighthouse.  Just big enough to hold a diminutive collection of painted furniture, the Oil house comes complete with its own eco-friendly composting backhouse, Igloo cooler for drinking water and an outdoor sun shower located just off the deck, where you can suds-up while you watch the local lobsterman haul their traps.  (If the Oil House facilities aren't civilized enough, you're welcome to use more sophisticated plumbing in the main house.)  You'll always be snug and warm here:  the Oil House is equipped with a gas heater.
